As requested by the Permanent Under Secretary in his minute

of 26 May, I attach a position paper on non-cotton textiles. This

paper has been cleared with American, Hong Kong and Trade Policy

Departments.

2. With reference to Mr. Bottomley's minute of 27 May we have

provided four paragraphs on Lord Denning and Jamaican bananas for inclusion in Caribbean Department's paper on the Caribbean/Anguilla.
