I am writing, rather belatedly to confirm the decision that I gave you by telephone on 23rd June in reply to your letter of 10th June about the applications from Babcock and Wilcox and English Electric for Financial Guarantee support for this business.

We agree that it qualifies for a Financial Guarantee for the two bids. Babcock and Wilcox are after two boilers with a United Kingdom content of £2.6 million and English Electric are after two turbine generator sets with a U.K. content of £2.9 million.

v & REF that these qualify for an 80 per cent loan to be repayable over seven years from the mean date of commission (19 months from contract).
