G.T. C. Where it is necessary to encode certain details only, e.g. name of Buyer and/or Exporter, or a small group of words, a combination of En Clair and G.T.C. may be suitable. Insert at 3(b) the names/words to be encoded in G.T. C. and leave an appropriate space in the text of the telegram.

CYPHER BY AIR MAIL Provides a reasonably fast method of transmission 1.e. despatch of encyphered message by air mail, which should be considered in suitable cases e.g. very long cypher messages. Insert the words

"BY AIR MAIL" against "CYPHER".
