see thiss Cullis' minute above. Nat & Treaty Dept evidently see no great problem in dealing with Indian/Pakistani immigration via Hong Kong. In the light of the centrals mentioned above it would be interesting to know where exactly the 8,000 odd departing Ind/Paks went — they could of cause have returned to the subcontinent !
