Hong Kong Divorce Jurisdiction.

Please refer to your letter to me of the 20th February.

At the end of July, Articls 3 (c) of the Hong Kong Jurisdiction Order in Council 1935 was amended by substituting a reference to one of Her Najesty's Principal Secretarios of State for the reference to the Secretary of State for the Colonies. I enclose a copy of S.I. 1969/1060.

I now enclose a copy of the draft Rules, In my view, the document would be a statutory instrument and I have framed the Rules accordingly. Their content is as suggested in the draft rules sent to us b, Hong Kong,

When I wrote to you with a few formal alterations but none of substance. on the 14th February I enclosed a copy of the Hong Kong draft Rules, but I doubt if I sent you a copy of the Comparative Table which Hong Kong had

Other enclosures in supplied to us; I now send you a copy of that Table. this letter are a copy of the Matrimonial Causes Ordinance of Hong Kong (Cap. 179) and of an amendment made by section 8 of the Hong Kong Evidence (Amendment) Ordinance 1969 to section 52 of 179.

I should be grateful for your comments on the draft Instrument now sent to you.

In the meantime we are sending the draft Rules to the printers for a druft print, to which we would make, if necessary, any alterations that may be required. The final print would then be made and be submitte to the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs for his signature. Perhaps you would let me know in due course whether arrangements should be made for the Secretary of State to sign the final document and for the
