There are a number of other communist union officials in the same position as those of the Waterworks union. No decision has yet been taken on the question whether or not we should launch further prosecutions because we want to assess the communist reaction to the waterworks case.

I will do my best to see that you have a chance to comment in time before we launch another action of this kind which would in any case I hope not be until Anthony Grey has been released.

I am sending a copy of this letter to James Murray but I am keeping it on my private file and should be grateful if you would not refer to it in any letter which needs to go on a Secretariat file.
