Dear David.

As I mentioned to Nicholas Barrington on the telephone this morning, the Prime Minister has now had the attached further letter dated December 18.

from Lieutenant-Commander Lynch Maydon M.P., about the proposal to change the name of the Hong Kong Police.

As this matter has now been under consideration since before last April, when Lieutenant-Commander Maydon first wrote to the Prime Minister about it, I think that the Prime Minister will want to give more than the stalling replies he has written so far. I should be grateful for your advice.
