25. The resident military aircraft consist of the following:
a. Six Whirlwind HAR 10 (Support) helicopters of No 28 Squadron. CO - Sqn Ldr J.W. CANÑING.
b. Four Austers and two Allouettes of Hong Kong Auxilliary Air Force.

Three Sioux helicopters of No 20 Independent Reconnaissance Flight.
26. Transport aircraft of the Royal Air Force which may require the use of staging post facilities include VC 10, Hercules, Comet, Belfast, Andover, Britannia and occasional civil charter. The most frequent staging transport aircraft are VC 10's and Hercules.

Detachments of FEAF aircraft to Kai Tak consist
Hunters. Normally four aircraft, four times per year for a period of up to 15 days (during which limited weapons, close support and interception training is undertaken). Occasionally eight aircraft may be detached.
D.
Canberras.
(1) One Lone Ranger up to three times per month for three days.
(2) A squadron of up to six aircraft twice per year for up to ten days.
(3) One PR aircraft once a year for up to ten days.
C. Shackletons. One aircraft each month for up to three days (includes SAR familiarisation training).
