Will you please refer to your letter ST 17/18/02 of 21 July about the Requisitioning of Ships Order, 1955.

I enclose for your information a copy of a submission on this subject approved by our Minister.

We are now submitting the proposed new Order to the Privy Council: we are, I think, too late to catch the meeting of the Privy Council on 22 October, but there is no urgency in the matter which will probably be taken at the next succeeding meeting, the date of which we do not yet know.
