would like to meet Government officials for
discussions on management and educational
problems.

and John Canning would meet the bill? He
already has letters of introduction to Vice -
Chancellor Robinson and to the Editor of the
Far Eastern Economic Review. He has indicated
that an afternoon, or another working dinner with
the two Vice-Chancellors would be welcome, and
would like to visit both Universities and the
Bailey may of course have already arranged this. American faculties. I understand also that the
Hong Kong Employers' Federation are aware of his
visit and Marsh would also like to meet them.
To complete his programme he has suggested
visiting Macao. As you will see from his
Curriculum Vitae (enclosed) Marsh is no stranger
to China, and is well known to many members of
the older generation in Hong Kong. P. Y. Tang,
for one, knew Marsh's father through business
contacts.
