Dear faminara,
Here, rather belatedly, are three copies of the two education papers for which you asked. Unfortunately, George Walden destroyed his spares in Peking and we had some problems in photostatting, hence the delay.
I also enclose four copies of a report by the Education Department on inspections of schools, with recommendations for the next round which entails the deployment of advisory inspectors during the actual lessons. This policy was recommended by the Schools Steering Committee on which are represented the Secretariat, Education Department and Special Branch. The recommendations has been accepted by the Governor in the Governor's Committee. Copies have been sent to Singapore.
your sincerely
