Chinese release yachting couple

Hongkong, July 23
The Chinese authorities released today two Americans who had been missing for more than a week.
Mr. and Mrs. Timothy Pierson, set sail in their converted lifeboat 10 days ago for an uninhabited island 50 miles from Hongkong. When they failed to return on time the Hongkong Marine Department alerted all shipping in the area.
