Hong Kong garment exports to the U.K.
The attached tables show that in both 1968 and the first five months of 1969, the U.K. was Hong Kong's largest customer for 32 of the types or groups of garments (excluding gloves) listed in Hong Kong's export statistics.
She also in many of these cases took a high proportion of the total quantity exported by Hong Kong: over 90% of 2 items. over 70% of 9 items (8 items in Jan./May 1969), over 50% of 12 items (15 items in Jan./May 1969) and over 30% of 28 items (31 items in Jan./May 1969).
Woven
The U.K. is also Hong Kong's largest market for 6 types of gloves. She takes over half Hong Kong's exports of two of the major types produced and knitted cotton gloves.
