The Consul General of Sweden presents his compliment to the Director of Commerce and Industry and has the honour to inform him that the Swedish Government desires to enter into consultations with the Hong Kong Government regarding the export to Sweden of cotton goods in accordance with Art. 3 of the Cotton Textile Agreement and non-cotton goods

according to Art. 12 of GATT.

In this connection the following documents are

submitted:

a) Statistical data "Cotton garments: 1-8b" b) Ditto "Other made up cotton articles: 1-2"

c) Ditto "Non-cotton garments: 1-5"

d) Memorandum concerning the situation of the Swedish texti

industry.

The Consul General of Sweden avails himself of this opportunity to renew to the Director of Commerce and Indust the assurance of his highest consideration.
