The Swedes argued last summer that although production of male
anoraks had risen, this production was going to stock in manufacturers'
factories. We should be glad if Stockholm could ask the Swedes to
produce up-to-date figures of imports, exports, production and con-
sumption of male continuous synthetic anoraks. We shall need to
consider whether there is a case for restraint in the light of this
information.

We shall be glad if Stockholm could approach the Swedes for
production, import and export figures of mens and boys knitted
обо outerwear in acrylic fibre, (paragraph 2 above) and r male anoraks
(see paragraph 3 above), in time for the meeting on 5th February.
6. The U.K. will be represented at the meeting in Geneva by Miss
C. H. Welch of Industries 1 Division. Goldsmith, who will be in
Geneva for the trade and development board will probably be available
for consultation.
