I have taken due note of its contents.“
In this context I would inform you that the Swedish
Government will not
-
during a twelve month period
beginning 1st July, 19,68 admit imports of the garments of Hong Kong origin listed in your letter unless such imports are covered by a Hong Kong export licence endorsed by the
Commerce and Industry Department, Hong Kong, either ·
(a) that the consignments concerned have been debited
against restraint level to the limits set out in
your letter, or
(b) in the case of export licences issued before
February 21 that the consignments concerned have
been debited against export authorisations.
It is my understanding that the total exports covered by the arrangements set out in (a) and (b) above will not, during the year beginning 1st July 1968 exceed the levels
set out in your letter under reference.
