Mr. Haerum said he would reserve his comments on the Hong He Kong statistics until he had had time to study them in detail. Encl: 5 handed over fresh Norwegian statistics which had been prepared by

the Norwegian industrial advisers. These were not all new figures, but were in the greater detail requested by Hong Kong.

Mr. Jordan thanked Mr. Haerum for the Norwegian statistics and suggested that the afternoon session should commence at 3.30 p.m. in order to give each side time to study the other's figures.
