Thank you for your letter of the 14th March reporting your prompt action to deal with the complaint by Marks & Spencer

Limited about the application of the Austrian anti-dumping law. The first reactions of the Austrian Ministry of Trade are

encouraging and I hope that you will continue to keep after them when a suitable interval has elapsed.

2. We shall be letting Marks & Spencer know that action has been initiated but without at this stage indicating what the result is likely to be.

3. I am copying this letter to Jamieson, Carter, F.C.O., and Marshall in Geneva.
