Joint Notification to the Director-General, General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade, from the Australian mission and the United Kingdom mission on behalf of Hong Kong.

I have the honour to refer to the notification conveyed to the Contracting Parties in COT/97 of 8th April, 1968.

Following consultations in Hong Kong it has been agreed by both parties that no limitation should at present be applied by the Government of Hong Kong to exports from Hong Kong to Australia of cotton drills, denius, dungarees and jeans (falling within paragraph 55.09.49 in the First Schedule to the Australian Custons Tariff); but that the consultations may be resumed urgently at a later date at the request of the Australian Government if in their opinion circumstances so warrant.
