Notice to Exporters: Series 5 (Misc.) (Australia) No. 4/69

Exports of Cotton Drills, Jeans,

Denims and Dungarees to Australia

Please refer to Notice to Exporters: Series 5 (Misc.) No. 5/68 dated 24th July, 1968, and No. 3/69 dated 18th April, 1969. Following consultations with the Australian Government under the Cotton Textile Arrangement, and on the advice of the Textiles Advisory Board, it has been decided that exports of cotton drills, jeans, denims and dungarees to Australia will no longer be subject to export authorisations, and with the exception of cotton drills, other than grey, of between 6 oz 15 oz by weight, per square yard, the department will now issue export licences on application to cover these items. Details of items in respect of which exports may be resumed are as follows:-
