Mr. Howarth was unable to accept this, largely, we think, because of the repercussions it might have with other restrained suppliers but he hinted that he would be prepared to re-open the cotton package as it affected apparel, if the Hong Kong team could accept some cutback on polyester/ polynosic shirts. This hint was explored and after a series of offers and counter-offers the following package was agreed:
