Notice to Importers of Cotton Products Originating in and Shipped from Hong Kong

Importers of products originating in and coming from Hong Kong are informed of the opening, for the period 1st October, 1968 to 30th September, 1969, of quotas for the importation of the cotton textiles listed below:-

Applications for import licences, with the value given in Francs, should be made on forms AC and accompanied by a proforma invoice in duplicate from the seller in Hong Kong or his qualified representative, drawn up in or translated into French and including the weight of the merchandise. Separate applications must be made out for each of the five categories indicated above. As regards the categories relating to knitwear (Cat. 4) and undergarments and garments cf cotton (Cat. 5), separate applications must also be made out for knitted gloves and undergarments on the one hand, and for handkerchiefs and shirts on the other.

In respect of fabrics of cotton, the invoice must state the width and the finish.

Applications for import licences will be received by the Department of Customs and Indirect Taxes, (Division ), 8 rue de la Tour-des-Dames, Paris (9e), from the date of publication of the present notice and will be sent for examination to the technical department concerned.
