I attach a copy of a Savingram just received from Hong Kong in which they ask for assistance with a factual brief to cover certain relevant matters at their trade talks with the French. You will be aware that these are now to take place during the week beginning 10 March.

I gather from previous minutes that your Division is co-ordinating this exercise in the Board of Trade and I should be very grateful for anything you can do to provide the information Hong Kong wants. There is little time but I think that some work on this subject will already have been done in the Board of Trade.
