IMPORT RESTRICTIONS APPLIED BY FRANCE ON PRODUCTS
OF EXPORT INTEREST TO DEVELOPING COUNTRIES

1. The Government of France has recently transmitted to the CONTRACTING PARTIES a list of import, controls and restrictions at present in force in France. The list has been circulated as L/2981/Ldd.16. The present paper is intended to provide an indication of those restrictions mentioned in the French notification which apply to products notified by developing countries as being of export interest to them (cf. COM.TD/23). Following the usual practice, restrictions on cotton textile products have been left out; information on such restrictions is given on pages 4 and 5 of L/2981/Add.16 and in documents in the COT/- series.
