unts on certificates of origin issued in Hong Kong.
The Hong
Kong Government would ask the Ministry of Foreign Trade when
considering this request to bear in mind the numerous recommenda-
tions of the Contracting Parties of the GAWT calling for the
abolition of Consular formalities and the fact that the Italian
Government's requirement for certificates of origin for imports
of a limited number of countries a discriminatory practice
against Hong Kong.
Her Majesty's Embassy avail themselves of this opportunity to
renew to the Ministry of Foreign Trade the assurance of their
highest consideration.
