As nothing further has been heard from the Italians on this subject I now feel that it would be worthwhile to keep up the pressure by the handino
over of a Note Verbale which would, inter alia, refer to the discussion in the GATT. A fresh draft of this is enclosed and, if you approve, I should be glad if it could be submitted to the Italian Ministry of Foreign Trade by the British Embassy in Rome.
