In these circumstances we would wish you to use

formula proposed in my telegram No. 675. If, however,

you still see difficulties over this we suggest that

sentence in question should read quote such discussions

would be held in Geneva in the week beginning 13 October

unquote.

4. We could then discuss how talks should be managed

and presented to the Americans with your representatives

in Geneva this week.
