Hong Kong reached agreement with Germany in 1964 to restrain exports
a) Knitted jackets, jumpers, etc., wholly or mainly of
wool (Mens, boys' women's and girls')
b) Infants' knitted woollen garments
Hong Kong's exports to Germany of knitwear generally in 1963 represented
about 30% by volume of total German imports and 5% of consumption.
We have recently been given to understand that Germany
is liberalising her imports of non-cotton textiles.
