Australian Freferences for Less Develonad

Countries.

I enclose two copies of the substantive schedule of

extensions and modifications to the L.D.C. preference scheme which I sent to you in the form of proposals under cover of my letter of 10 September. The Department of Trade have informed us that an official announcement bringing this into effect will be made by the Minister for External Affairs who is attending a meeting of E.C.A.F.E. in Bangkok.

We cannot trace having received any comments from you on the earlier schedule though we did see your exchange of telegrams with Hong Kong dated respectively 18 September and 1 Cctober. We therefore assume that you did not wish to comment.

3.

I have sent one copy of the schedule to the other three recipients of my letter of 10 September.
