Since our last Bulletin which recorded the September trade figures, the increase in Hong Kong's exports to the U.K. over the 1967 period has dropped to 32% but the U.K. exports to Hong Kong have increased by 25% (only 15.3% in September).
The October details reveal big increases in imports into the U.K. of textiles, clothing and footwear, whilst on the export side sales of textiles, non-metallic mineral manufactures, non-electric machinery, lorries, trucks and chassis for goods vehicles, professional, scientific and optical equipment have all improved more than the average improvement over the ten months period of 1967.
