Short title.

A BILL

To

Amend the Illegal Strikes and Lock-outs Ordinance.

Enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice and consent

of the Legislative Council thereof.

1.

This Ordinance may be cited as the Illegal Strikes and

Lock-outs (Amendment). Ordinance 1968.

Amendment of

section 3.

(Cap. 61.)

2. Section 3 of the principal Ordinance is amended in sub-

section (5)

(a) by Inserting, after "to take part in,", the following -

Addition of new

section 34.

"take part in";

(b) by inserting, after "expressed by", the following -

"or declared under"„

3.

The principal Ordinance is amended by adding, after section

3, the following new section

"Declaration

of illegal strike or lock-out.

3A. Where the Governor in Council is satisfied

that a strike or lock-out is illegal by virtue of

section 3, he may, by notice in the Gazette, declare

such strike or lock-out to be illegal and the same

shall thereupon be deemed to be illegal for the purposes

of this Ordinance.".

Amendment of section 4.

4. Section 4 of the principal Ordinance is amended in subsection

(1) by deleting "which is by this Ordinance expressed" and substituting

the following

"which is expressed by or declared under this Ordinance".
