Columns 2, 4 and/or 6 and 7 should be used to supply details of any additional items for which Treasury authority has been obtained. Proposals which are still in the formative stage should be notified separately to Finance Department as soon as possible with details of the amount and the anticipated timing of the expenditure.

Would you please return one copy of the completed schedule to Mr. Marchant, Room 506, Charles House, not later than than 31 October, 1969. If any substantial variations (over £100,000) in respect of the current financial year are likely they should be notified in advance, not later than 14 October, 1969 as they may be required for the submission of the Winter Supplementary Estimate which will have to be presented to the Treasury at the end of October.

The timetable given above is that necessary to enable Finance Department to present draft estimates in accordance with Treasury requirements. Adjustments to figures can, however, be made later to cover changes arising from subsequent developments. Would you please notify any such adjustments to the Finance Department officer named in column 8 of the schedule as soon as they become apparent.
