Brunei has already been contacted the Treasury wrote to the High Commissioner in Kuala Lumpur after Easter asking him to approach Lee. No answer has yet been received.

6. I should be grateful for departments' comments I need hardly add that we are not anxious to swell the numbers of the U.K. delegation more than is absolutely necessary. When we have agreed a list wo will have to put it to the Treasury for their comments.
