It occurred to us when we saw Dunn's minute MF 8/502/6 about briefing arrangements for the Commonwealth Finance Ministers Meeting that one obvious gap in the proposed briefing arrangements is likely to be the matter of a tariff on Commonwealth cotton textiles in the sense that this will have both financial and political implications which will possibly still be quite lively in September next.

This may well have occurred to you already and you may be intending to do a brief.

If so and you would like us to contribute a paragraph from the Hong Kong point of view we shall do so.
