Tang Chuen, former Chairman of Taikoo Dockyard Chinese Workers Union, age 56, convicted in August, 1967 of unlawful assembly and riot and sentenced to a total of six years im- prisonment died in Queen Mary Hospital this morning. Routine inquest will be held but preliminary diagonosis gives infective hepatitis as cause of death. Tang was admitted to Stanley Prison Hospital on December 8 and transferred to Queen Mary Hospital on December 20, He has no previous record of sick- ness during his period of imprisonment.
