The Government of the British colony of Hongkong said yesterday it had released from detention an- other member of the "All Circles, Anti-persecution Struggle Com- mittee" formed here in 1967.

A Government spokesman said the release of Mr. Lau Sam on Saturday reduced to two the num- ber of people detained without trial or charge under the Emergency regulations.

Out of the 54 people originally detained, 52 have now been freed. But others who were tried and sen- tenced are still in jail in connection with the 1967 strikes, demonstra- tions and clashes.
