The Stock Market continued an irregular pattern in active trading early yesterday.

Gains outnumbered losses by about 50 issues on the Stock Exchange while the Dow Jones industrial average slipped about a point, and the New York stock exchange index rose few cents.

Steady conditions prevailed on the Stock Market for the first three days of the week, weakening slightly on Thursday. Price differentials, however, were only fractional either way. There was a distinct improve- ment yesterday afternoon, with the market becoming quite active at the close, resulting in better prices here and there. The turnover for the week amounted to $22.26m.
