social functions on the programme will be informal where the correct dress is a lightweight lounge suit. There will be no requirement for members to take a dinner jacket. Nylon or terylene shirts and underclothing are not recommended since they do not absorb perspiration and soon become very uncomfortable. It is also suggested that members include bathing trunks in their hand luggage.

4. Passports

Members should be in possession of a current British passport endorsed for all foreign countries.

Currency

Singapore and Hong Kong are within the Scheduled Territories and members are advised to take travellers cheques which can if necessary be encashed by Unit Accountant Officers. Up to £15 in sterling notes may be taken out of the United Kingdom.

Royal Air Force postal facilities will be available at Changi and the correct postal address is:-

All correspondence should be marked 'Personal'. despatched from Singapore should be delivered in U.K. within 4 days of pusting.

7. Escort Officer

Squadron Leader C.N.C. Mitchell has been appointed to accompany the party throughout the visit.

Liability

The Department will accept no liability for any loss, sickness or injury (including fatal injury), unless directly

attributable to flights in Crown aircraft to which Carriage by Air Acts apply. A passenger's rights to compensation on such flights will be similar to those he would enjoy as a passenger of a civil airline.

Insurance

Members are advised to ensure that personal insurance cover is not invalidated by the circumstances of the visit.
