notification of a private visit that Mr. Julian
Amery is to pay to the Far East in November.
I attach a copy of his itinerary. You will
note that he is to visit Hong Kong twice,

between 6 8 November and 26 28 November.
I understand that he will, on both occasions,
be staying with Harold Lee.
He came to the Office yesterday for a
briefing session with James Murray and myself,
and we spent about twenty minutes talking about
Hong Kong. We discussed the usual things and There is no need for me to recount what parsed. made the usual noises that we do at such-

mention that he asked particularly for the name
of the Head of Special Branch, obviously
