I have just heard that Sir Cho-yiu Kwan will be attending an Investiture on 11th March 1969. I may be wildly off-side in making the suggestion, in which case I apologise, but would it be at all possible to request that H.M. makes a point of having a word or two with him when dubbing him? It would, I think, please him immensely and would be one of those little "gestures" we have been searching for without too much success!

But if you think it would be quite inappropriate to try to do such a thing, I shall of course fully understand.
