News Department propose the following Press Notice

on Lord Shepherd's visit. Details of his programme

will be given in answer to press enquiries later.

"Lord Shepherd, Minister of State, Commonwealth

Office, is to make a familiarisation tour of the Far East,

visiting Kuala Lumpur, Hong Kong and Singapore.

"He will leave London on Tuesday, October 10th

for Kuala Lumpur, arriving on October 11th. On Oct

13th he will go to Hong Kong and after about a week in

the colony will go on to Singapore before returning to

the UK."
