There are reasons for the reluctance

of Hong Kong employers to offer first employment to engineering graduates to enable

them to acquire post-graduate practical training. The Hong Kong Joint Group of

the Institution of Civil, Mechanical

and Electrical Engineers is forming a

Graduate Engipéering Training Committee

to solve this problem. The Government

should give prompt and very sympathetic

consideration to the Committee's scheme
