Royal Visits Committee

The attached schedule of proposed royal visits to Commonwealth countries and visits to this country by Common- wealth Heads of State has been prepared for the Committee's meeting on Wednesday 23 October on the basis of the information available at the moment in C.P. & P. Department.

Departments are asked to examine the schedule and to

suggest additions or amendments. It would be helpful if they would also supply a passage for each item with which

they are concerned suitable for inclusion in the Permanent Under Secretary's brief for the meeting of the Royal Visits

Committee. These should either be cleared with the

appropriate F.0. Departments or an indication given that there is no reason to expect any strong reaction from the

F.0.

3. I should be grateful if you would let me have your comments on the schedule or nil returns by Tuesday 8 October and notes for the brief by Friday 11 October.
