Invitation to the Centenary Celebrations of the
T.U.C. Congress
A week or so ago Mr. Haighton sent us a list
showing the
and memorandum drawn up by the T.U.C. overseas Trade Union Centres who will receive invitations to the centenary congress later this year.

We noted that Hong Kong was included in the list and we thought it might be useful to let the Governor know, particularly in view ofthe possible difficulties that might arise if the Hong Kong T.U.C. receives invitation and the Hong Kong F.T.U. do not.

I understand Mr. Haighton is away until after Easter but perhaps you would let me know whether there is any objection to sending the Governor copies of the papers under cover of the draft saving despatch below.
