Hong Kong Employment Bill
I have received from Hong Kong a copy of the draft Employment Bill and of the memorandum prepared for the Labour Advisory Board. An important part of the Bill, as you will see, deals with the subject of protection of wages in relation to Convention No. 95. I realise that the geographical department now has the responsi- bility of looking at legislation, but I wonder whether in the special circumstances you could make a preliminary examination of the draft and let me have some brief notes, in particular as regards Conventions applicable to Hong Kong?
