Women and Young Persons.

I should be grateful to receive as soon

as possible a copy of the proposals which have

been put to the Labour Advisory Board.

Information reaching us via the I.T.W.F. suggests

that regulating powers will provide for hours

of work to be fixed "to between 10 and 8" and

"between 60 and 48". Our understanding here

throughout has been that the effect of the new

regulations would be to reduce hours of work to

8 hours per day and 48 per week. Grateful for

your earliest clarification.
