hand and should be completed by early May. In the light of the Board's advice the proposed legislation would then be put back ⇓ to Executive Council and, once approved, would then have to go to the Legislature in the usual way. All this follows roughly the U.K. pattern. We have not yet been able to arrive at a precise date for the final stage (the Legislature) time-table,
but I am in touch with the Governor about this, and am confident
that we can ensure that the necessary stages outlined above will be gone through as speedily as the prodedures permit.
It is my firm intention to continue to press for
further and more significant advance.
