The following documents, which are the latest available, will be sent to you by air mail to provide basic factual information concerning the activities of the Labour Department, Labour Legislation, the main industries in Hong Kong, wage rates, and the existence of Trade Unions.

Other relevant information not readily available will be sent later. Statistics of comparative wage rates in other Far Eastern countries are not on record here. In respect of industrial wages generally and particularly in the textile industries it is reported that Hong Kong rates are the highest among these countries after Japan and there is reason to believe this is true.
