I have arranged for Mr. Thornton and his colleagues to see the Minister at 4 p.m. on Thursday, 16th February. I understand from Mr. Carter that following discussions with Mr. Foggon earlier today you are preparing a background note for the Minister. Could this possibly be ready before close of play tomorrow? It would, I think, be an advantage if officials, including Mr. Foggon, could have a word with the Minister before she meets Mr, Thornton and his colleagues. Do you think this could be arranged for Thursday morning?
