Gerald de Basto, Chairman of Hong Kong Bar Association, has sent identical letters dated 8 July to Secretary of State and Lord Shepherd seeking appointments with them during first or second week in August to discuss various matters most of which have been raised by the Association on previous occasions (see Secretary of State's Savingram 1564 of 17 August, 1965). He also wishes to raise question of unofficial appointments to Legislative and Executive Councils.
